Stop Motion Development

Storyboard

Storyboard

I came up with the idea of animating Studio Ghibli films to form the letter ‘G’. Then I created a storyboard to help me plan out the motion of the cases.

Initial Stop Motion

I then recorded the stop motion, using the tripod, camera and lights supplied by my teacher. Next, I put all the photos into premiere pro as an image sequence and made them 5 seconds in length.

Adding Sound

As part of this project, I was asked to add sound to both my stop motion and 2d animation. I decided to add a film shutter sound effect as if it was being played back on old film tape. This is the sound effect I used: http://www.freesound.org/people/bjornredtail/sounds/13687/

Adding Flicker

To add emphasis to my sound effect, I created a flicker effect using iMovie as it was much easier to add this effect there than in Premiere Pro.
